The British renewable energy developer, Hive Energy, will develop and build a green hydrogen production plant using the pioneering electrolysis technology developed by the Portuguese company Fusion Fuel.
It is an integrated hydrogen-solar energy technology based on micro electrolysis, with the aim of achieving a significant reduction in the cost of green hydrogen production. Currently, the project is in its administrative processing phase.
Hive Energy is a leading developer and reference partner for operators, industrial and logistics clients for the implementation of decarbonization and energy transition strategies.
Hive Energy will continue with its plan to develop the green hydrogen and hybrid renewable energy assets worldwide in close collaboration with key strategic partners and offtakers. Throughout Spain, the company also has a portfolio of 3GW projects for green hydrogen/ammonia production currently under development to supply the growing demand in the market.
Fusion Fuel is an emerging leader in the green hydrogen space that has created a revolutionary proprietary electrolyser solution that enables you to produce hydrogen at highly competitive costs using renewable energy. Fusion Fuel’s business lines primarily include the sale of electrolyser technology, the development of hydrogen plants that will be owned and operated by Fusion Fuel, and the active management of the portfolio of such hydrogen plants as assets, and the sale of green hydrogen as a commodity for end users through long-term hydrogen purchase agreements.
