Hive has secured 185 hectares of land in Croatia to develop 130 MW solar project

Over the past year, we have shared updates on four PV projects with land secured in Croatia. Since then, Ivo has been working to secure additional permits for those locations, as well as progressing additional pipeline sites.

Project Progression in Croatia

We have now secured land for our fifth project in the region. Having secured the land, we are in a position to commence Energy Approval, EIA and the grid connection process. Located in Karlovac County, the project will be one of the largest in our pipeline at 185 hectares and 130 MWp capacity.

We now have 300+ hectares of land secured across Croatia for the development of 200+ MW of PV projects. In total, Ivo is working to establish a pipeline over more than 1GW of solar projects in the region and we expect to have more updates on new projects in the coming months.

The development of clean energy in Croatia

Croatia has been actively developing its solar power industry over the past few years, making progress towards neutralising fossil fuels and prioritising renewable energy sources. Not only does Croatia’s climate offer the ideal environment for solar production, but the country has made significant investments in the growth of renewables in its transition to a greener future.
