“I joined Hive in October 2022 as Head of Accounting and Finance. I work closely with the CFO and finance team on all day-to-day finance activities but I’m primarily responsibility for all internal and external financial reporting for the Hive Group and support the cash flow forecasting processes.
“Prior to joining Hive, after four years at University in Bath and bit of travelling, I spent seven years at a mid-tier accountancy firm where I got my ACA qualification. I spent three years in audit before spending four years in Corporate Finance, specifically doing financial due diligence on transactions. After that I made my first step into industry, working for two years as Head of Finance in the Financial Services sector.
“My favourite thing about working at Hive is the varied and hands-on nature of the role. We have a small Head Office team which means everyone has to roll their sleeves up and it means you get to be involved in a lot of different areas of the business. I have also enjoyed learning so much about the renewable energy sector and it’s great that everyone at Hive is passionate about what they do, it’s definitely infectious!
“Outside of work I spend the majority of my time either playing or watching sport. Playing hockey takes up much of my time, I’ve played for my current club for over 10 years and away games take me to all the hotspots in the South of England. When I’m able to I also like to treat myself to a trip to watch Southampton Football Club, my family have always been big supporters and so I never really had a choice!”
