CuanTec is thrilled to share the news of their successful collaborative grant application being funded under Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, on behalf of Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
The grant, led by Pulpex, includes an amazing consortium including CuanTec, CelluComp, University of Surrey, RSSL, Bangor University Biocomposites Centre, Scitech and Diageo.
This grant enables CuanTec to continue its technological innovations in the world of sustainable packaging and coatings and is thanks to all the hard work of our partners within the Pulpex UK Bioscience Initiative.
CuanTec and Hive entered into a partnership in early 2022, CuanTec being one of Hive’s circular economy investments. Their novel technology converts shellfish waste into a biopolymer, which has a range of uses including for conversion into bioplastics.
