To-the-point: Hive Energy completes 123 MW of solar parks in UK

April 1 (SeeNews) – UK-based firm Hive Energy on Wednesday said it has completed 123.5 MW of solar parks on time to qualify for 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) per MWh. The project developer has initiated commercial operations at six new plants, the two largest being the 49-MW Southwick solar park in Hampshire and the 27-MW Lynt facility in Wiltshire. The company noted in its statement that it will pay more attention to large commercial rooftop projects going forward. Now that the March 31 deadline has passed, the UK’s 1.4 ROC regime has closed to solar projects of above 5 MW. By Ivan Shumkov
