School Farm is a 15MW project on 60 acres of lower-grade agricultural land in Churchover, Warwickshire. Hive secured planning permission in 2017 and the site is undergoing pre-construction work. Construction is planned to start in Q2 2019 with the view to being fully commissioned and operational in Q4 2019. Once built it will be one of the first subsidy free solar parks in the UK, the start of a new era in solar energy in the UK.
Woodington will be one of the UK’s first large scale (40MW) subsidy free solar parks when it is built in Summer 2020. Once the park is constructed, electricity will be exported from the site via an on-site 132kV connection to SSE. In tandem with the construction of the park, a new secure off-road public access bridle way, 5 miles in length, will pass through 30 acres of private woodland around the site to preserve wildlife and public access.
